Why read the Biblia

1. Because there, the mind of God is revealed and you can know what He is like.

When I read the Bible I knew that God is spirit (John 4:24), is love (1 John 4: 8), is merciful (Lamentations 3: 22-23), is patient (2 Peter 3: 9), is a man of war (Exodus 15: 3), etc.

2. Because it is their knowledge and revelation that will allow us to renew our mind.

(Romans 12: 1-2)

Before knowing Jesus and his word, your way of thinking was formed from your experiences with that culture. However, the way of thinking of the children of God different.

-The world has told us that love is a feeling because it feels but the truth is that love is a spirit, since it is God himself, not felt but perceived and received by revelation. (1 John 4: 7-8)

-The same way they taught you that it is better to receive but in our Kingdom it is better to give than to receive. For a long time I thought that the best thing that could happen was for someone to pray for me but now I understand that it is better when I pray for others because if I pray to bless others it is because I am blessed and I have so much blessing that I can give others.

(Acts 20:35)

-They also told us: "Revenge is a dish that is eaten cold" but we believe that we have also failed and somehow offended our neighbor so we endure and forgive those who offend us. (Colossians 3:13)

3. Because reading it will help your faith.

The Bible is the compilation of different writings that testify to us throughout history that God did amazing things with different people and in different ways. So if God could do it with them he will also do it with you. In the books of the Bible you will find their testimonies and when reading them your faith will be strengthened. (Revelation 12:11)

4. Because it is a mandate (Joshua 1: 8)

According to what Jehovah spoke to the people of Israel through Joshua the Word of God (in his case The Torah) must be taken very seriously, it is something that must be read and studied frequently to the degree that indicates that Word will NEVER depart from your mouth. It is one of the variables that God himself establishes to ensure that you live in the equation that results in: Blessing.
